Day 01ARRIVE ISTANBUL

  • Arrive in Istanbul.
  • Finish the immigration formalities

  • Proceed for City Tour of Istanbul (visit Sultanahmet Area, Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace, St Sophia, Blue Mosque)

Sultanahmet Area: Many of the city’s most famous buildings can be found in Sultanahmet, the old center.

 

Hippodrome: The Hippodrome of Constantinople was a circus that was the sporting and social Centre of Constantinople, the capital of the Byzantine Empire. Today it is a square named Sultanahmet Meydanı in the Turkish city of Istanbul, with a few fragments of the original structure surviving.

 

Topkapi Palace: The Topkapı Palace, or the Seraglio, is a large museum in Istanbul, Turkey. In the 15th century, it served as the main residence and administrative headquarters of the Ottoman sultans. Construction began in 1459, ordered by Mehmed the Conqueror, six years after the conquest of Constantinople.

 

St Sophia: Hagia Sophia is the former Greek Orthodox Christian patriarchal cathedral, later an Ottoman imperial mosque and now a museum in Istanbul, Turkey. Built-in AD 537 at the beginning of the Middle Ages, it was famous in particular for its massive dome.

 

Blue Mosque: The Sultan Ahmed Mosque is a historic mosque located in Istanbul, Turkey. A popular tourist site, the Sultan Ahmed Mosque continues to function as a mosque today; men still kneel in prayer on the mosque's lush red carpet after the call to prayer.

Egirdir: a town and district of Isparta Province in the Mediterranean region of Turkey. Eğirdir lies between Lake Eğirdir and Mount Sivri and contains a castle said to have been built by Croesus, king of Lydia, although additions were built by the Romans, Byzantines, and Seljuks.

 

Catal Huyuk: a very large Neolithic and Chalcolithic proto-city settlement in southern Anatolia, which existed from approximately 7500 BC to 5700 BC, and flourished around 7000 BC. In July 2012, it was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Goreme Open Air Museum - resembles a vast monastic complex composed of scores of refectory monasteries placed side by side each with its own fantastic church. It is obviously the first sight to be visited by any traveler in Cappadocia, standing as it does in the very center of the region with easy access from all directions. It is only 15 minutes’ walk (1.5 km, 1mile) from Goreme village center. It contains the finest of the rock-cut churches, with beautiful frescoes (wall paintings) whose colors still retain all their original freshness. It also presents unique examples of rock-hewn architecture and fresco techniques. The Goreme Open Air Museum has been a member of UNESCO world heritage list since 1984 and was one of the first two UNESCO sites in Turkey.

The full-day Princess Island Tour: Enjoy cool breezes and charming sights along the way to Buyukada, the largest island in the chain. Famous for their mild climates, lush vegetation, and ornate Ottoman Houses. Instead of cars, there are carriages, called phaetons which will use to tour the island and its beautiful scenery studded with elegant mansions draped with purple bougainvillea, reminiscent of a more leisured and graceful era.

Day 04EPHESUS - PAMUKKALE (2 ½ HRS / 193 KMS)

Hieropolis Ancient City - is about 20 km north of Denizili. It is called a Holy city in Archeological literature because there were many temples and religious buildings in Hierapolis. The ancient city is situated between several historical areas. According to the ancient geographers, strabon and ptolemaios, Hierapolis was very close to Laodicea and Tripolis which was in Karios Border. That’s why it was a Phrygian City. There is no information about Herapolis history before the Hellenistic Ersa, but we know there was a city there before then. It’s called Hierapolis because of its Mother goddess cult.

Day 06KONYA - CAPPADOCIA (03 HRS / 240 KMS)

  • Later visit pigeon Valley, Avanos Village, Shopping tour, photo stop Uchisar castle

Kaymakli Underground City: Built under the Hill Known as the Citadel of Kaymakli and was open to visitors in 1964. The People of Kaymakli (Enegup in Greek) village are constructed their houses around nearly one hundred tunnels of the underground city. The inhabitants of the region still use the most convenient places in the tunnels as cellars, storage areas, and stables, which day access through their courtyards. The Kaymakli underground city has low, narrow and sloping passages. While the underground city consists of eight floors below ground, only four of them are open to the public today, in which the spaces are organized around ventilation shafts.
